Farming Profession: Reaping Rewards from the Land

The farming profession in Echoes of Angmar is a fascinating and multifaceted craft, allowing players to plant and harvest crops, including vegetables and pipe-weed. It demands an initial investment but can be a fun and rewarding profession, offering valuable goods for trade, especially with Cooks.

Getting Started with Farming

To begin your journey as a Farmer, all necessary materials can be purchased from Novice and Expert Farmers. The primary crops are vegetables, which are utilized in cooking recipes, and pipe-weed, known for producing intriguing smoke effects.

Locating Farmland

Not all fields can accommodate your desired crops. To find suitable farmland, players can journey out of Staddle towards the Midgewater Marshes in Bree-land. A Novice Farmer, along with vegetable farmland and a pipe-weed field, can be found near the houses in this region.

Alternatively, in The Shire at Delving Fields, a Novice Farmer is situated by a house, with a vegetable field on one side and a pipe-weed field on the other. The Grange, north of Hobbiton, offers superior fields with both a Novice Farmer and an Expert Farmer in close proximity, and a superior workbench nearby. Once you enter a field, an icon appears under the Morale bar to indicate whether you are in a pipe-weed or vegetable field.

Gaining Crafting Experience

Farming offers several opportunities to earn crafting experience points. Planting a field grants six experience points. Harvesting fair bushels into vegetables or pipe-weed at a workbench rewards you with eight experience points, while turning poor bushels back into seeds at a workbench yields two experience points. These cumulative points enhance your farming skills, leading to more fruitful harvests and a rewarding farming career.
