Patch Notes - March 2024

From Echoes of Angmar

Carn Dûm

  • The Hornblowers in the platform section will now work as intended and appear once they start their summoning induction.
  • Salvakh will now correctly wake up his adds
  • Mordirith's Fallen Heroes will no longer be defeated upon being summoned
  • Muras healing skill will no longer heal players and correctly heal its allies.
  • Fixed an issue where the deadly water didn't defeat players in certain spots.
  • Fixed infinitive loading screen issues when porting into Carn Dum
  • Fixed issues where players could appear in different instance layers after teleportation.
  • Barashal's "bashing bridge" animation has been fixed and will now properly end once he is engaged.

NPCs/AI tech

  • Mobs with skills that act on an arc, meaning frontal arc (e.g. cleave), backward arc (e.g. dragon tail swipe) should now behave properly.
  • Server now supports "day-only" NPCs, these will only appear during the day.
  • NPCs will no longer be able to move when channeling abilities.
  • Pets will no longer stop attacking stunned enemies, only dazed/mezed/rooted.
  • A bug where pets would target and start attacking random enemies has been resolved.
  • The NPC skill "Bloodpact" will now correctly clear, making it possible to defeat the NPC.
  • Helchgams attack duration aura should now function and appear under character vitals when in range.
  • A proper error message will now appear if Captain try to summon a herald while having a banner equipped.
  • Elven pets should no longer be able to attack passive critters
  • Respawn timers will now persist in empty areas, eliminating the possibility of exploiting respawns by relogging in such environments.
  • NPCs will now exit combat after 30 seconds of inactivity, preventing players from getting stuck in combat after engaging static NPCs like the siege machines in Ram Duath.
  • Cases of mob anti-exploit behavior has been improved, preventing enemies from teleporting to players after fearing mobs, or running away from them.
  • AI pathing has undergone improvements to reduce instances of mobs getting stuck inside terrain or running into static objects.

Gameplay

  • Repeatable quest timers should now function.
  • When you leave fellowship inside an instance, the "leave now" button should now reliably teleport you out to the entrance.
  • The option to hide PVMP rank in title display is now working
  • There will now be a space between character name and surname
  • Quests that aren't tracked will now automatically be pushed into the quest tracker as soon as any objective is updated.
  • The sparkling effect indicating loot will now only appear on mobs that contain loot.
  • The chest icon will now only be displayed when hovering over mobs that contain loot.
  • It is no longer possible to open the loot window on mobs that contain no loot.
  • It is no longer possible to initiate logout while moving, logout will also cancel when moving.

Class Updates

  • Guardians trait "Brave Heart" will now correctly activate block/parry reactive skills.
  • Captain's shield brother will no longer work on banners or multiple targets.
  • Captain non-target res will now only target defeated players, before it could target players being alive.
  • Fixed an issue where hunter could take advantage of all stances at once.
  • Defeat response skills and similar should now proc reliably inside instances
  • The Captain skill "Command Respect" now correctly affects surrounding players, kneel!
  • Burglars' HIPS (Hide in Plain Sight) skill will no longer break on damage during the first 10 seconds upon activation.
  • Rare cases where Burglars' sneak visual would persist upon exiting stealth has been fixed.

Misc

  • Dwalin will no longer get stuck after putting out the fires.
  • Dorcham armour piece will no properly decrease damage according to description
  • Fixed a issue where players could move while being rooted/stunned.
  • A rare issue where you would be unable to move after a defeat has been fixed.
  • The epic cinematic movies will now unlock in the movie library section as you progress them
  • A bug causing too many Oathbreakers to spawn during an FM has been fixed.
  • The issue where previous Fellowship Maneuver contributions appeared on a new FM opening has been resolved.
  • Numerous "out of bounds" issues have been addressed.
